Reports should provide the kinds of information and the level of detail required by various stakeholders, as documented in the communications management plan. Common formats for performance reports include bar charts (also called Gantt charts), S-curves, histograms, and tables.
Performance reporting should generally provide information on scope, schedule, cost, and quality. Many projects also require information on risk and procurement. Reports may be prepared comprehensively or on an exception basis.
